For daily use, plain kurtas are favored. Kurtas with patterns or embroidery are prepared for ceremonial or cultural occasions.
3. Pathani:
An ethnic dress for males in South Asian culture is the Pathani suit and is a traditional Indian men’s wear. In essence, it is a Muslim outfit akin to the salwar kameez. It consists of a vest, a kurta, and a salwar, all of which are optional. Men frequently dress in Pashtun suits for formal occasions, like weddings and celebrations.
4. Nehru jackets:
Nehru jackets, often referred to as Nehru vests or Modi jackets, are sleeveless jackets that originated in South Asia. Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, is notably credited with popularizing this design. Due to his frequent adoption and promotion of this particular clothing design, these coats bear his name.
5. Indo-western suit for men:
Men’s Indo-Western outfits combine traditional Indian and Western components to provide a distinctive and modern look. The aesthetics and design components of both Indian and Western formal attire are combined in these suits, creating a seamless synthesis of cultural influences. Indo-Western suits typically include a tailored jacket, pants, and occasionally a vest or waistcoat. These can, however, make great traditional dresses for men.
